About us

Our greatest hope is for “No More Homeless Pets”.
This is what we do and the people who do it.

Dogs and cats come to us under many circumstances. Most are abandoned, abused, or from puppy mills. Many are the victims of irresponsible owners who allow their pets to breed, producing more kittens and puppies and causing our pet overpopulation tragedy. For some, this is the first time they have ever known kindness, care, and the security of a forever-home.

All the animals at the Sanctuary are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and given flea treatment as the first steps toward rebuilding their lives. While we work to match the right animal to the right family, we realize that for most, they will have forever-homes here.

We have built a special cage-free environment for all our animals. The dogs have large, chain-linked yards and a heated kennel. The cats enjoy roomy, unique open-area enclosures with trees, toys, bushes, and water to play in and around.

The Ohio Pet Fund
The Sanctuary encourages everyone to share their love for pets by selecting the Pet Specialty License Plate for your vehicles.  Proceeds from the plates go to fund The Ohio Pet Fund, a non-profit organization that supports programs such as ours to spay and neuter dogs and cats in preparation for adoption.  Find more information on our Links page.
Go to WWW.OPLATES.COM to order your Ohio Pet Plate or from your local BMV office.
The more plates they sell the more dogs & cats they can help!
Proceeds from the sale of the plate to to the Ohio Pet Fund, a nonprofit corporation.  Money in the fund is used to support programs for the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats for adoption from Ohio Shelters and nonprofit organizations, and for those pets whose owners are unable to afford its cost.
